Cleft Care
Supporting the person and not just the palate.
Every cleft journey is unique. We’re here to support not just medical care, but the emotional, social, and developmental well-being of each individual and family—through understanding, guidance, and community.
How Neuropsychological Support Enhances Cleft Care
Every cleft journey is unique. Beyond surgery and speech therapy, families and individuals benefit from care that supports emotional adjustment, self-esteem, and connection.
Our neuropsychologists and clinical team provide insight into how children, teens, and adults navigate self-image, confidence, communication, and transitions at school and in relationships. Screenings and evaluations can help identify strengths and challenges early on, providing clarity about cognitive profiles, attention, and learning styles that may be affected by ADHD, learning differences, or other conditions that can co-occur with a cleft.
With this insight, families, educators, and medical teams can work together to build targeted supports—helping each child thrive academically, emotionally, and socially, not just medically. By integrating psychological understanding into medical care, we promote resilience, healthy coping, and positive identity development at every stage of life.
